Message From Dean CBM & Chair of The Conference
The 9th International Conference on Islamic Banking & Finance (ICIBF-2025) invites rigorous deliberation on the theme: “Islamic Finance 5.0: Embracing Technology, Sustainability, and Ethical Excellence.”
The contemporary financial landscape is undergoing a profound transformation, driven by accelerated digital innovation, evolving stakeholder demands, and a global imperative toward responsible and purposive financial intermediation. These converging dynamics necessitate a critical examination of a central query: How can technological innovation be leveraged to serve societal needs without compromising foundational ethical and moral principles?
Islamic finance offers a compelling, established paradigm to address this challenge. Founded upon principles of fairness, accountability, and shared prosperity, it provides a distinct financial framework that prioritizes tangible economic activity and real-sector impact over speculative practices. As technology continues to unlock unprecedented capabilities ranging from sophisticated digital platforms to advanced data analytics it is increasingly critical to ensure that progress remains firmly anchored in robust ethical frameworks. Efficiency gained through innovation must be ethically governed; thus, value-driven innovation is the pathway to achieving genuine and sustainable impact.
This conference serves as a vital nexus for substantive intellectual exchange. It convenes distinguished scholars, dedicated researchers, and seasoned industry professionals who are collectively charting the future trajectory of Islamic finance. The empirical research and theoretical contributions presented herein are poised not only to significantly enrich academic literature but also to decisively inform best practices within the industry and guide subsequent policy formulation. We are confident that the discourse generated within this forum will actively foster responsible innovation and stimulate impactful new collaborations.
I wish to express profound gratitude to the organizing committee, esteemed speakers, dedicated presenters, and all participants for their unwavering commitment and intellectual contributions. Your collective efforts establish this conference as a critical platform where innovative ideas transition into deep insights, and where these insights subsequently catalyze measurable progress.
Thank you for your valuable participation in ICIBF-2025.
